Sanctuary Cap Cana Review: Why it’s the perfect honeymoon or anniversary trip
Sanctuary Cap Cana is a beautiful property located in the secure gated community of Cap Cana just 15 minutes from PUJ airport. We left Milwaukee, Wisconsin mid June when the weather was still chilly believe it or not! We had a quick layover with Southwest, but travel was smooth and worry free. Once we arrived in Punta Cana, the warm weather was perfect and was a welcome change from Milwaukee. Travel time from the airport can be an important factor when traveling as some resorts can be located up to two hours or more from the nearest airport. The shorter the drive, the sooner you can start your vacation! Contact us to learn more about about staying at Sanctuary Cap Cana.
The entire resort has a Spanish-Colonial theme and the grounds of the resort are immaculately maintained. The cobblestone streets and brick castle make you feel like this resort was built in a time when the Caribbean was still full of swashbuckling pirates and European explorers.
The food at this resort was simply outstanding! Everything we ate was delicious. Some of our favorites was the fried fish and calamari at the Blue marlin, and anything on the menu at the Steakhouse. Even the hamburgers at the beach bar were fresh and delicious. I was skeptical at how good the food could be at an all-inclusive, but as someone who takes food very seriously, I feel very comfortable saying that the food was outstanding.
We splurged on our accommodations and were not disappointed. We opted for the Imperial Suite (located in the castle next to Juanillo Beach) for most of our stay. We loved our private deck and private pool perched on top of the castle roof with sweeping views of the Caribbean sea.
We finished our stay in a Royalty Villa. We loved our massive private deck with private pool.
Last but certainly not least, the staff here at the Sanctuary are amazing. Emilio was our butler for the entire stay and treated us like family. Francesco and Jennifer were amazing at setting us up in our accommodations and frequently checked in with us to make sure everything during our stay was going perfect.
Thank you Emilio!
